1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mykey.Chat ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Mykey.Chat is a web-based platform that enables users to interact with multiple AI language models (including but not limited to OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google, and OpenRouter models) by providing their own API keys. The Service facilitates conversations, file uploads, and web search capabilities.

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): Users are required to provide their own API keys from supported AI providers. Mykey.Chat acts as an interface to facilitate communication with these third-party services.

3. User Accounts and API Keys

3.1 Account Creation: You must create an account using a valid email address through our authentication provider (Clerk). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

3.2 API Key Management: You are solely responsible for obtaining, managing, and paying for your own API keys from third-party AI providers. Mykey.Chat stores your API keys securely using AES-256 encryption, but you remain responsible for monitoring your API usage and costs with each provider.

3.3 API Key Security: Your API keys are encrypted at rest and only decrypted server-side when making authorized API requests on your behalf. You must never share your Mykey.Chat account credentials or provider API keys with others.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Free Plan: Mykey.Chat offers a free tier with 10 web searches per month and unlimited conversations.

4.2 Pro Plan: Our Pro plan ($2/month) provides 200 web searches per month and unlimited searches if you provide your own LinkUp API key. Subscriptions are managed through Polar and are billed monthly.

4.3 Provider Costs: AI provider API costs are separate from Mykey.Chat subscription fees. You pay your AI providers directly based on your usage.

4.4 Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any laws or regulations
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Violate the terms of service of any third-party AI provider
  • Abuse or excessively consume system resources
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

6. Content and Data

6.1 Your Content: You retain all rights to content you submit through the Service, including conversations, files, and prompts.

6.2 License to Operate: By using the Service, you grant Mykey.Chat a limited license to store, process, and transmit your content solely to provide and improve the Service. We do not use your content to train AI models or for any purpose beyond providing the Service.

6.3 Data Storage: Conversations and message history are stored securely to enable features like conversation history and real-time streaming. You may delete your conversations at any time through the Service interface.

6.4 Third-Party Processing: Your content is transmitted to third-party AI providers based on your configuration. Each provider's terms of service and privacy policy apply to their processing of your data.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google, OpenRouter, LinkUp (web search), UploadThing (file storage), and Clerk (authentication). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies. Mykey.Chat is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of third-party services.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and branding, is owned by Mykey.Chat and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 No Warranty: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9.2 Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9.3 AI Output: AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it.

9.4 Limitation of Liability: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MYKEY.CHAT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

10. Termination

10.1 By You: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at b.elghazi1305@gmai.com.

10.2 By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or any other reason at our discretion.

10.3 Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Mykey.Chat operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Severability
